Instructions for Submitting Hacker Reports

For Blackice Defender

When you are attacked, the Blackice Defender program makes a report file called

attack-list.csv.  To send me this file, do the following steps.

  • Outlook Express:
  • Go into Outlook Express
  • Press New Mail.  (It’s along the button bar on the far left.)
  • In the “To” box type abuse@hackerhunter.net
  • Skip the CC and Bcc Boxes
  • In subject just put Attack Report.
  • In the body of the message you do not need to put anything.  But if you have any details you need to tell me about the attack, please feel free to explain the here.

Now the hard part.  Attaching the file.

  • Along the button bar in the middle there is a button that looks like a paperclip.  This is the attachment button.  Click it.
  • It now brings up one of those scary windows explorer type boxes.
  • Push the down arrow to give you a list of drives on your system.
  • In this you want to double click the “c” drive.
  • Once you click “c” drive you will get a bunch of folders.  Double click Program Files.
  • Now double click Network Ice
  • Double click Blackice
  • Now you are in the Blackice folder.  Find attack-list.csv and double click it.
  • You now have an Attach box under the Subject.  You are now ready to send the message.
  • Push the send button.

If you are still having problems submitting an attack report or you are not using Outlook Express,  email support@hackerhunter.net for further instructions.
